Board Approves Strategic Planning Principles

At the board meeting on May 7, Chairman Russ Warren led a discussion regarding a means to establish a planning pattern for the island.  Stating that a set of guiding principles would support the current strategic planning initiative, the board voted unanimously in favor of the principles. 

Each is consistent with the association's long range plan and considers the town's comprehensive plan.  They are established to create a conceptual planning template, allowing the board's view to keep the island a premier residential resort community.

Additional Updates

• Up to date, one strategic planning meeting has taken place. This meeting included Mark Permar and Karen Bacote as guest consultants.
• The amenities committee met for their initial meeting.
• The environmental planning committee is currently in the process of recruiting members.
• The member responses to the first questions posed in the Digest were insightful and brought creative ideas
