UPDATE (January 2006): Amenities Task Force Holds Last Official Meeting

The KICA Board of Directors announced the following island leaders to serve on the Task Force to address recreational amenities on the island:

• Buddy Darby – KDP (Developer)
• Faith Dodge -Member Director
• Glenn Dozier – KIGR (Resort)
• Avril Fenwick - Member Director
• Dwight Freeburg - Member Director
• Pat McKinney – KIRE (Real Estate/Developer)
• Dick Sula - Member Director
• Roger Warren – KIGR (Resort)
• Russ Warren - Member Director
• Jon Weitz – Riverstone Properties (Resort Developer)
• Mayor Bill Wert – TOKI (Town of Kiawah Island)
• John Wilson - Member Director

Members interested in submitting comments are welcome to do so.

This, as we are all aware, is a complex issue and will not be completed over night.  Some of the topics to be considered will be current amenities, future needs, possible costs and land use.  Progress will be reported at future board meetings, in the Digest and on the KICA website.
