The goal from the amenities charter states that our committee will complete and submit a comprehensive plan for island-wide amenities that will enhance the Kiawah brand and assure the brand's quality standards." This document is an overall prioritization of the amenities inventory created by the committee.
Committee Members:
- Kelly Bragg, Chairperson - Member since 1997, full-time resident since 1998. Member of Bird House team, member of Turtle Patrol since 1998, and recently joined overall Turtle Patrol board. Former elementary school teacher. Has worked with computers for the past 18 years, and for the past six years has owned her own business, My Scribe. Current member of town's Communications Committee, past member of KICA Digest Production Committee.
- Lynn Armstrong - On Kiawah full-time since 2001, C.P.A. background, golfer, member of Turtle Patrol, Kiawah Island Club member.
- Betsy Dahlstrom - Marketing background, full-time resident for three years, Governor's Club member, Exchange Club member, Turtle Patrol member, one son, Alex.
- Jim Broadus - Military background, full-time resident for over seven years, accounting degree, worked in fiscal operations at the Pentagon, member of town Public Safety Committee, Governor's Club member.
- Carol Fishman - Retired lawyer, member of town Board of Zoning Appeals, Governor's Club member, full-time resident for 11 years.
- Steve Lapp - Non-resident member since 1992. Member of KICA Digest Production Committee since 2003. Member of AFRG, Kiawah's Political Action Committee, since 2002. A chemical engineer and operated own business, Design Sciences, for 30 years.
- Joseph Mahoney - Patent lawyer, non-resident, currently living in Chicago, purchased property on Kiawah one year ago.
- Lynn Morgenstern - Attorney for academic teaching hospitals and health care systems, specializing in corporate and contracting activities for 501(c)(3) entities. Active user of current KICA amenities, including bike paths, nature trails, Sandcastle classes, pool, kayak launch and playground.
