Amenities Workplan (Appendix A)

The overall goal of the committee is to: "complete and submit a comprehensive plan for island-wide amenities that will enhance the Kiawah brand and assure the brand's quality standards." The outline below is the first work plan.

Establish Baseline:

The committee will create a baseline amenities inventory, a list of the current amenities on Kiawah Island. A draft of this document is currently in progress.

Steps
  1. Complete baseline amenities inventory
  2. Categorize amenities
  3. Investigate other locations similar to Kiawah - what amenities do they have?
  4. Assign category to committee member(s) for research
  5. Review existing resources (see below) for input to research
  6. Complete research for each amenities category
    1. Include relative importance for residents, non-residents, guests
    2. Provide estimated costs
  7. Conduct any additional polling of association members
  8. Prioritize each amenities category
  9. Compile final list

Final Deliverable

The committee will provide an amenities inventory. Recommended projects will be prioritized and show approximate costs. The inventory will consider current use build-out, to ensure it is adequate to meet the needs of both residents and non-residents and their guests.
