SUBJECT: ENVIRONMENT/SERVICES COMMITTEE CHARTER
The committee will review the current environment of the island and consider future plans for the maintenance, improvement and enhancement of the appearance, natural surroundings, convenience, safety and enjoyment of island for the benefit of all resident and nonresident members and guests.
The committee is asked to list the most important . values. of our members in regard to environmental issues on Kiawah, using the results of the recent KICA survey as an additional guide, e.g., habitat, green space, privacy, noise control, safe bike/walk paths, security, etc. The committee should consider all aspects of the environment in its review and planning. The attached list is a thought-starter only and should not restrict the committee's vision.
To complete and submit to the Strategic Planning Committee a comprehensive plan for Kiawah's environment that will enhance the Kiawah brand and assure the brand's quality standards. The plan will be suitable for implementation over a five to seven year period rolling forward. Recommended projects will be prioritized, and scheduled showing approximate costs. Costs should not be limiting as to inclusion or schedule.
