Ocean Discovery [Seining] - 1 Hour
Join us for some beachcombing and help us pull the seine net through the shallow ocean water and see what aquatic specimens we discover. We will learn more about the inter-tidal sea life of Kiawah Island! This is a fantastic experience for children to literally get their hands wet with nature! We meet out on the beach in front of the Sandcastle.

Turtle Talk & Beach Combing - 1 Hour
Do you ever wonder about those tracks that you find on the beach in the summer or what use to live in that shell that your child found? Well we have the program that will help answer those questions. Join us for some beach combing and a discussion on the loggerhead sea turtle. We will discuss their mating and nesting habits. We will learn more about the inter-tidal zone of Kiawah Island! We meet out on the beach in front of the Sandcastle.

WHAT TO BRING [Walks]
Sunscreen, bug spray, sun hat, closed-toe shoes (old sneakers) or strap on sandals (Reefs or Tevas), drinking water or juice, an extra layer or two if it is cool, and a sense of adventure!
